The tendency to laziness, or at least to a lack of attention and to sluggishness in our work is called sloth. The slothful person seeks to avoid all effort and whatever requires toil. Work preserves us from many vices, as well as from useless or bad thoughts.
I am identified with Christ: His affairs are mine; His intentions, mine; I speak His words; my doctrine is His; my life is that of Christ; I complete the works of Christ; or better, it is Christ that completes His works for me.
Preghiera
Signore, glorifica nella tua Chiesa il Beato Giacomo Alberione. Sia per noi tutti esempio e intercessore nel cammino della nostra santificazione e del nostro impegno apostolico. Apri le vie dell'evangelizzazione affinché la presenza di Gesù Maestro, Via e Verità e Vita, si irradi nel mondo per mezzo di Maria, Madre e Regina degli Apostoli. Concedimi le grazie che ora ti chiedo... Padre nostro, Ave Maria, Gloria...O Gesù Maestro, Via e Verità e Vita, abbi pietà di noi. Regina degli Apostoli, prega per noi. San Paolo Apostolo, prega per noi. Beato Giacomo Alberione, prega per noi. Da ogni peccato, liberaci o Signore.

Biography
-- born on 4 April 1884
-- entered the Seminary of Alba at the age of 16.
-- from 1914 - 60, founded the Pauline Family.
-- died on 26 November 1971
-- beatified by Pope John Paul II on 27 April 2003
-- nacque il 4 april 1884 a San Lorenzo di Fossano (Cuneo).
-- Entrò nel Seminario di Alba a 16 anni, fu consacrato sacerdote il 29 giugno 1907.
-- Per obbedire a Dio e alla Chiesa, il 20 agosto 1914 dava inizio, in Alba, alla "Famiglia Paolina" con la fondazione della Pia Società San Paolo.
-- Seguirono nel tempo le fondazioni di quattro Congregazioni femminili
-- Rimase sulla terra 87 anni, , il 26 novembre 1971, confortato dalla visita e dalla benedizione del Papa Paolo VI, lasciò la terra per prendere il suo posto nella Casa del Padre.
